My Journey Each Day
Just thought I would share my beautiful journey to South Beach each day…
This is how I roll…

The journey takes about 20 minutes without traffic, which in Miami is very common…

I have to cross the causeway each day, leaving normalcy for paradise…
  ÂÂ

The water here is so blue…

My arrival in South Beach…You spend most of your time trying not to look like a tourist, but today I don’t mind.
     ÂÂ

The famous Versace house…

Not too crowded today…
 ÂÂ
     ÂÂ
ÂÂ
As I said before…beautiful.

I’ll share more later.ÂÂ

Oh, I am SO moving to Miami when I get out of seminary.
Ok, not really. It could be Miami, DC, or Boston. Or anywhere, really. But do you sense a theme in that short list? East coast, through and through.
Do you know David Janero? He’s a church planter down there. Shoot me a reply over at my blog when you get a chance. (By the way, I’m lovin’ Underdog.)

Joe:
There are a few cities in the U.S. that are pioneering cities - cities that live in the future - Los Angeles, New York and Miami. You have to live in one of these places to understand. My friend and I were talking about the future of the church the other day and he said that if we want to see what the church would or should look like in the years to come, we need to experience life in one of these places. I did not understand this a year ago in GA, but I get it now. Miami is one of the most difficult seminaries you can go to. I’m not going to lie, it is difficult. But, the lessons I have learned in the year that I have lived here are invaluable. You should look into it. Come for a visit. Thanks for the comment.
BTW - I do know David. He does not live far from me.
